Almost February

Month Recap: January has been both a chill and crazy month! The new year started out warm, like almost 60F, which was super crazy for the start of a new year, but the transition easier into the winter season. We have had a couple crazy snow storms, and also some little snow fluff too! We completed our first home project, we took in a new foster cat, and our babies are getting used to her being in the house. My choo-choo train hit a stand still when I found out that I needed a new computer, and it took me a couple of days to get out of the hole that it put me in, but I was able to climb out of it and start again. Coming into the last couple of days of the month, we have had a couple up and downs as well. I'm working on keeping up with my workout/tanning schedule, some days it's tough to get out of bed on time and leave the house (especially on the days that it snows), but it is said that it take time to get into a new routine. We have also been having some issues with our...

January 20, 2019

A new week, a new start Last week was really rough on my body; with just starting all of the changes I'm making to my lifestyle and health by body was starting to feel some of the effects of them. Recap of last week: Monday-    I got up on time, went to the gym and tanned and ran some errands. Everything was fine, and I felt     great! Tuesday-    Got up when my alarm went off, cleaned the house, and used the end of the day to relax and enjoy       some peace and quiet. Wednesday-    I set my alarms the Tuesday night, but when I got up I realized that I set them for an hour later,           which meant that I was not up at my normal time. I pulled myself out of bed, did my morning             routine and got dressed. I was in the process of gathering my things to head to the gym, when I           started feeling light ...

Set Back

Month Updates: The month has been a pretty good one so far, other than the couple days that I've felt sick. Since starting the year, I've started to get up at a normal hour and my internal body alarm has started to adjust along with the kittens too. Every morning I get up and feed my fur babies before starting my daily tasks (brushing my teeth, making the bed, getting dressed, etc.), and if I am not up within five minutes of my alarm going off they become my alarms and they won't stop meowing and crawling all over me until I get up and feed them. Along with getting up I've been going to the gym Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during the week, and walking shelter dogs on the weekends to help improve my physical health, but over the last week I have failed to get going and exercise and I can feel the negative impacts it is having. This feeling is going to be my drive to get up and go even when I don't have the energy or the desire too, so I see this as a positive. ...

Trying Something New

Information:  As part of the new me this year, I am going to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. Make-up! I normally wear make-up only on special occasions, and it takes me forever to put on. My make-up routine consists of: powder, light concealer, eye liner, mascara, and chap stick/lip color. I want to change this up where I start taking care of my complexion with a nice primer and foundation, and I definitely want to work on my eye shadow abilities and eye liner skills. In the new couple of weeks, I will be gathering up materials I am going to need (this will require a trip or six to Sephora and Ulta Beauty), and will be recording my attempts at this make-up business. I will also try to vlog some of my trips to get my stuff. Not only is this going to be a change with the make-up, but I will also be trying film, edit and post my videos. I've been in a couple videos with my sister, but I have always been super self-conscious of the way I look and sound, and ...

Project #2- January Edition Part A

Mental Health Journal- January Update Since the month has already started I’ll share what I have first and then share again at the end of the month what my pages look like then.  Yearly Pages:  Monthly Pages:

Project #2 Information

My Health Journal Background Information: Moving to Kansas City was a big life change for me; I was leaving my parents, my sisters, and all of my friends back in my home town and moving to a larger city where I only knew a handful of people. Before moving I had been kind of diagnosed with PCOS (Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) and SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder); the kind of being the PCOS could not be positively diagnosed with out there being cysts on my ovaries and the SAD had to be agreed upon by a set of mental health professionals. My doctor prescribed me a course of treatment for the PCOS since I was showing signs of the condition, but also hoping that by taking the medications we could prevent the cysts from occurring. A major side affect that is risky with taking this combination of drugs is depression, and with the possible SAD I knew it was a risky move to move before knowing how my body was going to handle the drugs, but I needed to by close to my wife for emotional supp...

Relationships

Relationships My relationships and love life is not exactly normal or mainstream, and its not widely accepted either, but before I can explain why I say this I need to talk about my wife, and love. The rest of the story will come later, for now this is all about my lovely wife.  M- The Wife Our adventure began when we met our freshman year of college. We were not close friends, but more of acquiescence; we saw each other from time-to-time either at a meal with our friends or at a school related function.  The story of how we started dating is a long and complicated one, but the short version: we matched on a dating app and was confused because she thought I only liked men, I finally confessed and accepted that I was bisexual, we refused to tell each other how we felt until we were given an ultimatum by a friend, we started hanging out together more, and it became official that we were dating. Neither of us really asked the other to be our significant other nor did ...

Jinxx and Friday

My Beautiful Babies  Jinxx When I adopted Jinxx I was living with my best friend and sister, but not long before this while we were celebrating our first full year in our new home we lost her precious Tuxedo Mister Mistoffelees. We both dealt with his loss by adopting another cat, my sister adopted another handsome tuxie cat and named him Bandit; after he got settled in the house Jinxxy came along.  We had kept in touch with the foster lady that Bandit was with, and she also had Jinxx. When I went to visit this little kitten for the first time, she immediately came up to me and wanted to be picked up. While we were visiting the foster lady let one of her foster puppies back into the house from outside; it was a 7 week old St. Bernard/Great Pyrenees/Mastiff mix, and already stood at my hip height; when he came in Jinxx freaked out and started to shake in my arms. The foster lady told me that the puppy just wanted to play, but because of their size differences she thought...

Project #1

Ultimate Poop Room One of my life goals this year is to start and complete five projects, and I can already mark one off of my list. A little back story before the details of this project. A little over two years ago I adopted a beautiful Calico kitten that I named Jinxx after a member of a band that was helping me get through a tough jam. In September my fiancee (now wife) adopted a 11 week old grey and brown tabby from the shelter that we started fostering for; the shelter had named him Friday, because that was the day he was dropped off. We took him in on Saturday as our first foster kitten, and we fell in love with him, and so did Jinxx. When we moved into our new home at the base of the stairs for the basement there is an extra closet so we decided to turn it into a place for the litter boxes. It made sense there, they were out of the way and not in a place that is regularly lived in; because of the smell, we didn't want them upstairs. After adopting Friday we took in ...
