Sickness and Health and Updates

Image
Sickness  February has been a hard month for my wife and I. Last week I had to take her to Urgent Care to be checked for the flu, it was negative (YAY!!) but they think she has had a sinus infection since sometime in January and it got worse. The doc gave her some antibiotics to help her feel better, but then I wake up a couple days later with a sore throat and major sinus drainage. With all of this we have been going back and forth taking care of each other; lots of soup, Vic's Vapor Rub, lots of sleep, being lazy together, and caring around boxes of tissues. One day we feel better, luckily we both felt good on Valentine's Day, and then the next one or both of us feels like crap; today just happens to be that day for me. Kind of Healthy  Even though I have felt sick I have been trying to work though it and get stuff done; in the last couple days I have started to collect makeup and try some looks, and I changed the color of my hair. I'll add pictures and informati...

Project #2: February Health Journal Pages

Image
Beginning of the Month I just finished up the final touches on my journal pages for the month, which was perfect since I normally journal in the evenings.  I have decided that the months that have a major holiday in them, I am going to incorporated a theme through out the pages. In my pictures, you will see what I am talking about. I think they look super cute, and I am in love with them.  Valentine's Day is in February, so I added little pink and red hearts all over the pages. My wife and I do not celebrate Valentine's Day, but that doesn't mean that I can't love the aesthetic with the hearts and colors.

Month Recap: January has been both a chill and crazy month! The new year started out warm, like almost 60F, which was super crazy for the start of a new year, but the transition easier into the winter season. We have had a couple crazy snow storms, and also some little snow fluff too! We completed our first home project, we took in a new foster cat, and our babies are getting used to her being in the house. My choo-choo train hit a stand still when I found out that I needed a new computer, and it took me a couple of days to get out of the hole that it put me in, but I was able to climb out of it and start again. Coming into the last couple of days of the month, we have had a couple up and downs as well. I'm working on keeping up with my workout/tanning schedule, some days it's tough to get out of bed on time and leave the house (especially on the days that it snows), but it is said that it take time to get into a new routine. We have also been having some issues with our...

January 20, 2019

A new week, a new start Last week was really rough on my body; with just starting all of the changes I'm making to my lifestyle and health by body was starting to feel some of the effects of them. Recap of last week: Monday-    I got up on time, went to the gym and tanned and ran some errands. Everything was fine, and I felt     great! Tuesday-    Got up when my alarm went off, cleaned the house, and used the end of the day to relax and enjoy       some peace and quiet. Wednesday-    I set my alarms the Tuesday night, but when I got up I realized that I set them for an hour later,           which meant that I was not up at my normal time. I pulled myself out of bed, did my morning             routine and got dressed. I was in the process of gathering my things to head to the gym, when I           started feeling light ...

Set Back

Month Updates: The month has been a pretty good one so far, other than the couple days that I've felt sick. Since starting the year, I've started to get up at a normal hour and my internal body alarm has started to adjust along with the kittens too. Every morning I get up and feed my fur babies before starting my daily tasks (brushing my teeth, making the bed, getting dressed, etc.), and if I am not up within five minutes of my alarm going off they become my alarms and they won't stop meowing and crawling all over me until I get up and feed them. Along with getting up I've been going to the gym Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during the week, and walking shelter dogs on the weekends to help improve my physical health, but over the last week I have failed to get going and exercise and I can feel the negative impacts it is having. This feeling is going to be my drive to get up and go even when I don't have the energy or the desire too, so I see this as a positive. ...

Trying Something New

Information:  As part of the new me this year, I am going to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. Make-up! I normally wear make-up only on special occasions, and it takes me forever to put on. My make-up routine consists of: powder, light concealer, eye liner, mascara, and chap stick/lip color. I want to change this up where I start taking care of my complexion with a nice primer and foundation, and I definitely want to work on my eye shadow abilities and eye liner skills. In the new couple of weeks, I will be gathering up materials I am going to need (this will require a trip or six to Sephora and Ulta Beauty), and will be recording my attempts at this make-up business. I will also try to vlog some of my trips to get my stuff. Not only is this going to be a change with the make-up, but I will also be trying film, edit and post my videos. I've been in a couple videos with my sister, but I have always been super self-conscious of the way I look and sound, and ...
